Terms of service

The terms for using devbord.

Last updated: 12 October 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and The Remedy ("devbord", "we") for the use of devbord: the website at devbord.com, the apps for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Windows, the browser extension and the API (together "the service"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them.

1. Who we are

devbord is run by The Remedy Computers, Polderlaan 72 8370 Blankenberge, Belgium, registered under enterprise number 0644468691, VAT BE0644.468.691 and BrandForge, De Limburg Stirumstraat 33B 8370 Blankenberge, Belgium, registered under enterprise number 0719679721, VAT BE0719.679.721. You reach us at contact@devbord.com.

2. Your account

- You need an account to use the service. Give a real email address and keep it up to date: we use it for sign-in, security notices and messages about your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a contract. If you use devbord for a company or another organisation, you confirm that you may accept these terms on its behalf.
- An account is for one person. Keep your password, recovery codes and API keys secret, and tell us right away if you think someone else has access.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.

New accounts may be limited to people we invite from the waitlist.

3. Workspaces

Work in devbord lives in workspaces. Whoever creates a workspace, or the organisation they act for, is its owner and our customer for that workspace.

- The admins of a workspace decide who is a member, what members may do and what happens to its content. They can remove members and content, export everything and delete the workspace.
- If you are invited to someone else's workspace, what you add there belongs to that workspace. It stays there when you leave or delete your account, without your name.
- The owner is responsible for the members they invite and for how the workspace is used.

4. Plans and payment

devbord has a free plan and paid plans (Standard and Premium). What each plan contains and what it costs is on devbord.com/pricing. A paid plan is priced per workspace, not per person, unless the pricing page says otherwise.

- **Trial.** A new workspace can try a paid plan for 7 days. If you do not subscribe, the workspace continues on the free plan.
- **Billing.** Paid plans are billed in advance, per month or per year, through our payment provider Stripe. A subscription renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it.
- **Switching.** You can change plans at any time. A change takes effect immediately and is settled against what you already paid.
- **Cancelling.** You can cancel at any time in the workspace settings. The plan then runs until the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund the remaining part of a period, unless the law requires it.
- **Lower plan.** When a workspace moves to a lower plan, its data is kept. Features of the higher plan cannot be used again until you upgrade, and limits of the lower plan (such as storage or the number of projects) can stop you from adding more.
- **Failed payment.** If a payment fails and is not settled after we have warned you, we may move the workspace to the free plan.
- **VAT.** Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise. Businesses in another EU country with a valid VAT number are not charged VAT (reverse charge); we check the number in the EU register (VIES).
- **Price changes.** We can change prices. We tell the admins of a paying workspace at least 30 days in advance, and the new price applies from the next renewal. You can cancel before that.

**Consumers.** If you subscribe as a consumer in the EU, you can withdraw within 14 days of subscribing without giving a reason. By subscribing you ask us to start the service right away; if you withdraw, you pay for the days already used.

5. Your content

Everything you and your members put into devbord (cards, comments, messages, documents, files, time entries, error data and so on) remains yours. We do not claim ownership and we do not use it for advertising or to train AI models.

You give us permission to store, copy, transmit and display that content only as far as needed to run the service for you: showing it to your members, searching it, running your automations, sending your notifications, making backups, and publishing what you choose to make public.

You are responsible for your content, and you confirm that you have the right to put it into devbord.

6. Acceptable use

You will not use devbord to:

- break the law or infringe someone else's rights;
- store or share content that is illegal, or that harasses, threatens or sexually exploits anyone;
- send spam, or collect data about people without a lawful reason;
- spread malware, attack the service or other people's systems, or try to get access to data that is not yours;
- get around plan limits, rate limits or security measures, or put an unreasonable load on the service;
- resell the service or offer it to others as your own, without our written agreement.

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these rules, tell us at contact@devbord.com.

7. What you make public

Some features publish information outside your workspace: shared boards, forms, feedback boards, status pages and changelogs, with their email subscriptions. You decide what goes on them and you are responsible for it, including for the personal data of the people who fill in a form or subscribe.

8. Integrations, API and automation

- You can connect devbord to other services, such as GitHub, GitLab, Discord, Slack, Microsoft Teams or your own systems through the API and webhooks. Those services have their own terms; we are not responsible for them. When you connect one, you instruct us to exchange the data needed for the connection.
- API keys, automation and error tracking have limits per plan. We can slow down or pause use that goes beyond them or that harms the service for others.
- If you use error tracking, performance monitoring or bug reports, your own apps send data to devbord. You are responsible for what they send and for telling your own users about it.

9. Personal data

How we handle personal data is described in our privacy policy at devbord.com/privacy-policy and on devbord.com/privacy.

For the personal data inside your workspace, you (the workspace owner) are the controller and we are your processor under the GDPR. We process that data only to provide the service and on your instructions as given through the service, keep it confidential, protect it with appropriate security measures, use the sub-processors listed in the privacy policy, help you answer requests from the people concerned, tell you without undue delay about a data breach that affects your workspace, and delete the data when the workspace is deleted. If you need a signed data processing agreement, ask us at contact@devbord.com.

10. Availability, changes and support

- We work to keep devbord available and your data safe, and we make regular backups. We do not promise that the service is always available or free of errors, and we offer no service level agreement unless we agreed one with you in writing.
- We may need to take the service offline for maintenance. When we can, we announce it beforehand.
- devbord keeps changing. We can add, change or remove features. If we remove something a paid plan depends on in a way that seriously affects you, you can cancel and get back the unused part of what you paid.
- Support is by email at contact@devbord.com. When we need to look inside your workspace to help, an admin of the workspace has to approve it first; that access is temporary and logged.

11. The apps

The apps are licensed to you for use with your devbord account, not sold. For the iPhone and iPad app from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for the app or for support.

12. Our rights

The devbord software, name, logo and website are ours and are protected by intellectual property law. These terms give you the right to use the service, nothing more. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.

13. Ending

- You can stop at any time: export your data, cancel a paid plan, and delete your account from your profile. A workspace can be deleted by its admins.
- Deleting your account removes your account and personal data immediately. A workspace with nobody else in it is deleted with it. Backups that still contain the data expire on their own schedule.
- We can suspend or close an account or workspace that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, that is used for fraud, or whose payment stays overdue. Unless it is urgent or the law forbids it, we warn you first and give you the chance to fix it and to export your data.
- We can stop offering the free plan or the service as a whole. In that case we tell you at least 60 days in advance, so you can export your data, and we refund the unused part of paid periods.

14. Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows:

- we are not liable for indirect damage, such as lost profit, lost revenue, lost data that you could have exported or backed up, or damage to your reputation;
- our total liability for all claims in a year is limited to what you paid us for the workspace concerned in the 12 months before the damage arose, with a minimum of 100 euros.

These limits do not apply to damage caused by our intent, fraud or gross negligence, to death or personal injury, or where the law does not allow liability to be limited. If you are a consumer, you keep all rights the law gives you.

You will compensate us for claims by others that arise from your content or from your use of the service in breach of these terms.

15. Changes to these terms

We can change these terms. When a change matters, we tell you by email or in the app at least 30 days before it applies. If you keep using devbord after that date, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, you can stop and, on a paid plan, cancel with a refund of the unused part.

16. Law and disputes

Belgian law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the courts of Bruges, Belgium. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may also bring a case before the courts there.

If one part of these terms turns out not to be valid, the rest stays in force.
